1968
Expanded Cinema with an 8mm-film, a projector and a screen.
Hans Scheugl stands in front of a screen and projects a pornographic film. The dimensions of the proper projection however are so minimal that the image cannot be seen from the audience. Scheugl offers to join him on stage to see the film – an invitation that in fact is followed by some of the visitors. Besides the demonstration of the mechanisms of taking possession of visual offerings Der Voyeur also reflects the expectations that are raised by the effective term Underground – the implicit hope of the audience to be able to consume the breaking of taboos.
